Closing this level crossing is a proactive step to reduce the risk of accidents and mitigate dangers that may occur in the crossing area.
"To support the closure of this level crossing train line, PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi has also carried out outreach at the Lake Toba auditorium building of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi's offices on February 21 2024 to related interested parties, at the event several agencies and the public were present, including , Head of the Medan Region II Airport Authority Office, Kualanamu Airport Police Chief, Beringin Deputy Police Chief, District Heads and Village Heads as well as representatives of Community Figures around the Kualanamu Airport area and also the airport community." There are two recommended routes from Lubuk Pakam to Kualanamu Airport, namely the first from the direction of Bakar Batu towards Aras Kabu, turn left towards the fish quarantine road then turn left towards Kualanamu Airport and the second from the direction of Burnt Batu towards the afternoon market, turn left towards the petrol station in the airport exit area. direction to the left until the turnaround point (in front of Gatrans, under the fly over, before the Kualanamu hub) towards Kualanamu Airport.
