PT Angkasa Pura Aviation Kualanamu International Airport is ready to serve 25 hajj flights and 204 technical landing flights in phase one (departure) 

Carrying out the Hajj pilgrimage this year, Kualanamu Airport plans to serve 8,745 prospective Hajj pilgrims. Medan embarkation pilgrims will fly directly to Medina and Jeddah on 13 May 2024 for the first group until 10 June 2024 for the last group.

All Medan embarkation Hajj flights are served by Garuda Indonesia airlines with Airbus 330 aircraft.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Aviation Mr. Achmad Rifai said that a total of 1,127 personnel, both internal and external, had been alerted to welcome the departure of prospective Hajj passengers, including personnel from Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), Airside Operation, Aviation Security (AVSEC) , BKO TNI and Polri, Technical and Service Personnel, as well as Supporting Service and Medical Personnel.

Mr. Achmad Rifai also said that we are very optimistic that the 2024 Hajj flight can run well and smoothly overall. We have carried out good coordination with all stakeholders including the Ministry of BUMN, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Religion, Immigration, Customs and Excise Office, TNI, Polri, AirNav Indonesia, airlines and ground handling so that the departure of prospective pilgrims to the Holy Land can be carried out smoothly. , starting from the Hajj dormitory to Kualanamu Airport and then leaving for the Holy Land.

Meanwhile, the return of Hajj pilgrims via Kualanamu Airport is scheduled for June 23 2024 to July 21 2024.

In the first group today, 360 prospective pilgrims from Asahan district departed for Medina using Garuda Indonesia GA 3101 at around 12.00 WIB and are expected to arrive at 20.00 local time.
